As the CGDive brand continues to grow, I regularly receive inquiries about potential collaborations, including product reviews, sponsored integrations, affiliate partnerships, and more.
This page outlines my approach to these opportunities, setting clear expectations for how promotional content is handled on the channel.
It’s intended both for:
- companies or individuals interested in partnering with CGDive
- CGDive viewers who deserve transparency about how promotional content is selected, produced, and presented.
Promise to Future Partners
When we work together, I commit to representing your brand with care, professionalism, and integrity. I’ll do my best to honor our agreement and deliver high-quality content that aligns with your goals.
I expect the same level of respect and reliability in return.
Core Values and Guiding Principles
At CGDive, our goal is simple: to share honest, accurate, and valuable information with the community.
YouTube and other Social Media channels have the potential to be a powerful platform for trustworthy opinions. But unfortunately, it’s also full of content that puts profits before truth. Too often, creators compromise their integrity to satisfy sponsors or chase short-term gains.
CGDive refuses to be part of that trend. I will not promote products I don’t believe in, and I will never sacrifice honesty for profit.
Deal-Breakers in Contracts and Agreements
No matter the type of collaboration, there are certain terms I simply won’t accept.
- Attempts to control my content or creative process. (Exceptions may be made for clearly marked ad segments.)
- Attempts to limit my ability to work with other partners, such as your competitors.
- Excessive or unfair non-compete or exclusivity clauses.
- Penalty clauses that impose unreasonable financial risks or one-sided obligations.
Contracts or agreements containing these kinds of terms will be declined. I’m committed to partnerships built on trust, respect, and creative freedom.
Here is how I approach the various types of partnerships.
Honest Reviews
If we agree to a product review collaboration, I will create an honest, independent video based on my experience with the product under the following conditions:
I expect the product to be provided 100% free of charge.
For physical products, that includes the item itself, all shipping costs, VAT and other taxes, customs handling, sending of documentation, etc. In simple terms, the total cost to me must be $0. I will not return the product after completing the review (exceptions may apply).
For digital products, I require access for as long as necessary to complete the review.
I maintain full creative control over the content. In most cases, I will not send the video for pre-approval. The only exception may be highly technical products, where fact-checking may improve the accuracy of the review.
I’ll do my best to deliver the video in a timely manner, but depending on my current workload, I may need up to three months from the time I receive the product.
If I don’t feel confident recommending the product, I will let the partner decide between two options:
- publish an honest review, which may include negative or mixed feedback;
- don’t publish a review at all. In this case, I can return the product, as long as doing so involves no cost or extra effort on my part.
This policy allows me to protect the trust of my audience while giving potential partners peace of mind.
The cost of an Honest Review will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In some cases, receiving the product may be sufficient compensation. However, additional payment may be required to cover production costs or to prioritize the review ahead of other ongoing projects.
I’ll always be transparent about pricing before we begin, and I’ll only take on reviews that I believe are a good fit for my audience.
Sponsored Reviews
Sponsored reviews allow the sponsor to have more input into the structure of the video, including providing key talking points or even a full draft script.
However, this must not compromise the integrity of the content. I reserve the right to review all provided material and will only include statements I believe to be accurate and verifiable. I do not accept sponsorships that require me to mislead my audience or promote claims I can’t stand behind.
Sponsored reviews always require monetary compensation (receiving a product alone is not sufficient).
Pricing will be determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the scope, length, technical complexity, and other specifics of the review.
Sponsored Integrations / Ads
Sponsored integrations are short promotional segments that appear within a regular CGDive video — typically near the beginning, middle, or end. These segments are clearly marked as advertisements and are kept separate from the main educational content.
Sponsors may provide key talking points, messaging guidelines, or even a draft script for the ad segment. I will use this input as a reference but reserve the right to adjust the content for tone, flow, and audience relevance.
Please note: while I will do my best to integrate the message smoothly, a “natural” transition into the sponsored segment is not guaranteed. My viewers are smart and they can spot a “fake-natural” transition.
Sponsored integrations do not grant any control over the rest of the video or its creative direction.
 ▶Revisions and Approvals
One round of revisions to the sponsored segment is included, provided that feedback is submitted promptly after the draft is shared. Additional revisions may incur extra charges.
Pre-approval of the ad segment is possible upon request, especially for larger campaigns. However, I retain final editorial control.
 ▶Pricing and Bonuses
Sponsored integrations always require monetary compensation. Pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on:
- Placement within the video (pre-roll, mid-roll, etc.)
- Project complexity and customization
- Audience alignment and targeting
- Turnaround time
Performance-based bonuses (e.g. based on views, sign-ups, or conversions) can be negotiated, but are not standard and must be agreed upon in advance.
